Gabii sa Kabilin (Night of Heritage) is held every last Friday of the month of May in Cebu City and is organized by The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. Since the event started in 2006, I always try to be in the city to participate. I found that every year there are always new learnings and new experiences (like the bus system that will be used as the city’s public transportation).

Travel Guide to Cebu City

Cebu City is the Queen City of the South and when you mention Cebu to most tourists, they would easily associate it with the same things: lechon, danggit, chorizo, Sinulog, Sto. Nino, and Magellan’s Cross. Cebu City is all that and more. To me, Cebu City is a cultured, historic, and artistic city where most people are educated and has a collective sense of duty to make their city a better place especially for the needy. Cebu City Easy Hiking Trail: Celestial Gardens

I am a mostly sedentary person but I love walking, and, up to about seven years ago, I learned that I can endure and do enjoy long, long walks. This year, my husband and I started to rediscover Cebu City and went on hikes during public holidays. The first hike we took was the Celestial Gardens hike, which is a very easy hike and is less than 2 kilometers from our home.
