The city of Talisay (not to be confused with Talisay City in Negros Occidental) borders Cebu City in the south, and is often overshadowed by Cebu City. Talisay is a historic city by its own right and, if you are a Cebuano, is equivalent to the best lechon in the province.

Cebu Safari and Adventure Park
I’m not fond of animals, most of the time I am afraid of them. But I don’t hate them. I am a proponent of the leave-them-where-they-are mantra. But I do often want to see animals in real life (instead of just on books and TV) so I often go to zoos. Sadly (or gladly), the Cebu Zoo closed a few years ago and there are no more places in Cebu where people could learn about and see animals. Until the Cebu Safari and Adventure Park opened in Carmen.
